Introduction
Cambridge Foundation School, is a co-educational recognized school which
aims to impart comprehensive education to the children on most modern
lines to develop their all round personality.
Aims
and Purpose of the Institution
The aim of good education is to discover and develop to the fullest
the fine qualities in a human being. Cambridge Foundation has this very
ideal in mind, trying to provide a curriculum which will not merely
educate and instruct, but also draw out the best in the children, by
teaching them the values and joys of purposeful work and helping them to
develop their natural, physical, mental and spiritual qualities.
Emphasis is laid on character building activities and through courses of
study that are followed in the School and through other co-curricular
activities.
It is the primary aim of the school to produce young men and women who
will be adequately equipped with civic as well as vocational efficiencies
and the qualities of character that go with them, so that they may be able
to play their part competently, in an emerging democracy like ours.
Recognition
& Affiliation
The School has standards from I to XII and is recognised by the
Delhi Administration and affiliated to the Central Board of
Secondary Education.
Curriculum
The school follows the curriculum as prescribed by the Central Board
of Education, New Delhi, and the students are prepared for the All India
Senior Secondary (Class XII) Examination, conducted by the CBSE in the
following streams -

The medium of instruction is English. Hindi
is taught as a second language in all the classes and Sanskrit as a third
language from Standard 6th to 10th.

Library
The Library is an important part of the school. The School has two
separate libraries - one for the Junior Classes and the other for the
Senior Classes. A wide range of books aim to help children rediscover the
joy of reading. A very extensive reference section helps the students to work
on multifarious projects. A large number of periodicals, magazines and
journals are under subscription. A Broadband Internet Connection has
also been provided, for the benefit of the students.

Sports
Games are played with great keenness and true spirit of sportsmanship.
The School provides facilities for sports and games like Volley Ball, Cricket, Table Tennis,
Badminton, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho,
Gymnastics, Athletics, Yoga & Karate.
The School for the past several years has been organising an Inter-School "Radha Kishan Cricket Tournament". Schools
from all over Delhi participate in the tournament.
A large number of our students participate in Scouts - to inculcate
intellectual, social and leadership qualities.

Science Laboratories
There are five laboratories one each for Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Home Science & Psychology. All the labs are in full use and have been provided with the
latest equipments.
According to CBSE guidelines the School has also
set up a Mathematics Laboratory.

Information
Technology
Keeping with the times the school has Four Computer labs, for
the Primary, Junior, Middle and Senior sections. All the labs are equipped with
up-to-date Multimedia systems. In order to encourage children to prepare
online projects interacting with schools across the country and all over
the world, two High Speed DSL Internet connections has been provided
for their benefit.
To enhance the learning experience an Audio-Visual Room is also available
for the staff and students.

Auditorium
& Open Air Theatre
A very well equipped air-cooled auditorium has come up to facilitate a
variety of cultural activities. With a seating capacity of
500 is used for normal school co-curricular activities such as;
Inter-School & Inter-House debates, declamation contests, quizzes,
dramatics, music & dance contests etc.
But when it comes to the Annual Day the massive 60ft. x 40ft. open air
theatre provides the space for parents and children to view enthralling
stage productions.

The School has a 24x7 Professional Security Guard system.
CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the school premises.
Power Backup
The School has installed a power back up Generator to ensure power
supply during electricity failure
Drinking Water
Water Coolers equipped with RO have been installed to ensure a clean
and hygienic water supply
Fire Protection Systems
Fire Fighting Systems have been installed through out the School premises.
Regular Evacuation and Emergency Drills are conducted to ensure smooth
evacuation in case of an emergency.

Charitable Dispensary
The School has been operating a Free Charitable Dispensary for the
general public in its premises for the last 20 years under the guidelines
of the chairperson Mrs. Sheila Verma. The Radha Kishan Memorial Charitable
Dispensary is open for the students during the school and for the general
public from 4 pm to 7 pm on all working days. Providing free consultation

The School also provides free
medication.
