Cambridge Foundation School witnessed a day of celebration, heritage, and vibrant community spirit as it hosted its much-anticipated annual fete on December 21, marking six decades of excellence in education. The event drew an overwhelming response from students, parents, alumni, and distinguished guests, transforming the school campus into a hub of cultural and festive enthusiasm.
The highlight of the occasion was the solemn unveiling of the sculpted busts of the school’s revered founder-principal, Late Shri Brem Dutt Verma, and his legendary wife, Late Smt. Sheila Verma, Founder Chairperson of the institution. The ceremony stood as a reverent tribute to the visionaries whose dedication& enduring contribution laid the foundation of the school’s enduring legacy.
The honour was graciously performed by the Chief Guest, Mr Rajeev Babbar, former Vice President, BJP (Delhi State), (District Prabhakari, Mehrauli), a former National-Level Tennis player, and an ardent lover of music. He unveiled the statues and also released the Diamond Jubilee School Magazine, commemorating the institution’s 60 years of academic and cultural achievements. He was joined by the esteemed School Manager, Dr Anita Puri, along with members of the senior management, lending dignity and warmth to the proceedings.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Babbar lauded the school for its consistent commitment to holistic education and praised its role in shaping responsible and confident citizens. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by a variety of stalls and activities, with Tambola emerging as a crowd favourite and a major attraction of the fete.
